March 2021 - Carson Terrell

Name of Recommending Teacher/Administrator: Brian Kennedy
Parents/Guardians: Kerry and Barry Terrell

I am pleased to write this recommendation letter for Hardee High School Senior Carson Terrell. It is my honor to be one of his teachers this semester. Carson is a truly outstanding student and is the possessor of many gifts. His weighted Grade Point Average is 3.68 and his class ranking is 52 out of 298. Carson is the Senior class secretary of National Honor society and a participating member of Serving and Learning Together (SALT) a Christian outreach organization through his church. Carson has served as a valued student executive intern and student worker. Carson has excelled this year as lead trumpet in Jazz Band, a remarkable undertaking since he had not played in Band since middle school. Academically, Carson has earned many college credit hours taking Dual Enrollment (DE) and Advanced Placement (AP) classes at South Florida State College. He has accumulated well over 100 community service hours working for various clubs and school organizations. Carson is a dedicated student athlete and has played for two years on the HHS Varsity Tennis Team. His teach coach. Dennis Aubry, has been impressed by Carson’s exemplary courtesy, sportsmanship and professional conduct and he too is highly supportive of Carson for this award. Carson Terrel has demonstrated potential to excel and succeed in anything he does. He is the caliber of student that genuinely stands out both among his teachers and his peers. Carson plans to continue attending South Florida State College and transfer to the University of Central Florida to major in engineering. Carson Terrell demonstrates and embodies the qualities of competence, character and humility both on and off the athletic field. As such, he is worthy and most deserving of the Hardee County Chamber of Commerce Community Leadership Award.
