The application period for the 2016-2017 Leadership Hardee Program is now open!
Leadership Hardee is a nine month program that is scheduled to begin in September with a kick off dinner and end in May with a graduation ceremony.
Throughout the year, classes will meet for a full day of sessions built around community issues. These sessions will focus on topics such as Education, Agriculture, Healthcare, Industry, Legal System & Local Government, Human Services, Culture and Arts, and Law Enforcement. Leadership Hardee is a comprehensive, tuition based program for selected participants to gain the skills and knowledge to become a community leader. The program, designed to identify existing and emerging leaders from various segments of the community, begins in September of each year.
The nine month curriculum is dedicated to building a network of community leaders who will utilize their diverse talents, skills, and unique perspectives to address community-wide challenges, identify viable alternatives, and help solve problems facing Hardee County today and in the future. By focusing on the selection, training, advancement and recognition of leadership, the primary objective of Leadership Hardee is to educate and expose a select number of individuals to the societal and economic challenges facing the community.
The application period for the 2016-2017 Leadership Hardee Program is now open. Current Chamber members and their employees are welcome to apply. Space is limited and competitive. Applications are due by 5pm on Friday, July 15th and the top 12 most qualified applicants will be chosen. Notification of acceptance will be the following week.
